About Us

Laura Canfield Garden Design is a full service design firm offering a range of services from design concept through construction management. We create beautiful and functional outdoor living spaces that respond to the needs of our clients, the site and the budget. We are based in Portland, Oregon, with projects throughout the United States.

We work closely with architects and interior designers to ensure a strong visual relationship between inside and outside living spaces. Our terrace and plaza designs display clean lines, strong form and rich textures. Our landscapes feature lush, inviting plantings that provide four seasons of color, fragrance and texture.

Our built work includes urban courtyard gardens, large-scale residential landscapes, and public parks. We provide site planning and design services for municipal and county plan review and building permitting.

Laura Canfield is a registered landscape architect with over twenty five years of experience in all phases of landscape design for residential, institutional and commercial projects. Her work has been featured in a number of publications including the Oregonian newspaper, Oregon Home magazine, Landscape Architecture magazine, the Washington Gardener, and the Washington Times newspaper.
